Halloween Weekend!

We had a busy Halloween weekend this year. Ashlyn dressed up as a bee and was the cutest bee ever... in my opinion!

We went to the Fall Festival at Bellevue Baptist Church with Grandma Joy ("Ba"). Ashlyn wasn't too thrilled about this adventure.

Grandma was trying to get Ashlyn to try some cotton candy.

She finally did... and loved it!

Later that night we went to the Trunk or Treats at a couple of churches in White Bluff with the Harrington crew. It took Ashlyn a little while to warm up, but once she did she got the grasp of getting candy pretty quick! She would go right up to the person, get her candy, take a few steps back, place her pumpkin on the ground, and squat down to put her candy in it. Then she would try to go right back up to the same person to get more!

Noah dressed up as Bumble Bee from the Transformers. Here are the two bees together!

Hailey was a cute ribbon witch.

Here's Ashlyn, the twins, and Jay inspecting their candy stash.

We went back to the Harrington's and had fun around the fire pit.

Ashlyn acting like a big girl talking to Sylvia.

The next day we decided to carve a pumpkin!

Ashlyn wanted no part of cleaning the pumpkin. Yuck!

She kept telling me to put it back and patting on the top of the pumpkin.

I love her expression in this picture!

Trying to get far away!

Observing from afar with Granny.

The finished product... Jack!

She would say "Hi, Jack!" every night on our way in the door.

The best kisses! We were about to leave to go to my cousin Rick's house for dinner and more trick-or-treating!

Going up to the first house with Papaw.

She went up to this house all by herself! She was on a misson to find a sucker!

Big girl!

Here she is squatting down to put her candy in the pumpkin. She would do it everytime!

Walking back to Rick's with Papaw.

Autumn Day

Ashlyn and I played outside one morning enjoying the cool Fall weather, and I used it as a photo opportunity. The next to the last picture shows her hugging her baby pumpkin Papaw bought her. The last picture speaks for itself - She hated the pile of leaves!
